Devil Wears Prada !!/2
I never got to see the first one in cinemas and yet Andy & Miranda have lived on my TV screens long after their debut. The film felt like a time capsule and was I was very curious and hesitant to see what the duo have endured since 2006.
Andy’s persona shines through as she goes down memory lane. Sophisticated and confident with each step, watching her navigate a new phase of life while honing her skills is heart warming. The literal definition of watching someone grow up on screen. To do that so gracefully is no easy feat.

Leaving the fashion industry to pursue journalism lured her into a world of finding the truth not only in stories but eventually in her life and the integrity within it. That’s how the odds turned in her favour. Her whimsical, sensitive, empathetic and driven nature makes so many of us to root for her.
Making passion accessible is always a challenge but it is a necessity when it comes to understanding how malleable you have to be in order to progress. Being in front of an audience whether on stage or providing a service, comes with a price.
Figuring out how to blend the two in order to sustain yourself. People will come across your depth and attention to detail along the way. A craftsman must master simplicity in order to achieve the extraordinary.
Success still includes self sabotaging tendencies
Once you ‘make it’ your inner critic doesn’t get any quieter, it continuously finds new approaches. The peace that looks good on people is a reflection of how much stronger they have become in dealing with it and accepting themselves.
That’s the beauty of the metamorphosis, like the saying goes, ‘Don’t pray for an easy life; pray for the strength to endure a difficult one - Bruce Lee’ allegedly.
Leaning on her wealth of experiences that she has garnered over the years, made her problem solving and gifts look effortless. Her need for approval didn’t just disappear and working with someone like Miranda you can clearly see why.

It’s a process that cant be skipped but once ‘mastered’ all of a sudden people say ‘you’re so chill’ or “you’re so calm”. That calmness is a testament to the refinement you have gone through. The other side of the coin was Miranda having to find herself within the changing times of the industry.
Watching her navigate herself was done through a lens of warm embrace and anxiously waiting to see her fate. She put her knowledge and life experience to the test and discovered a lot of appreciation and acceptance.
And maybe we should just be not be perfect together - Andy
Finally she applied her transferable skills in other areas of life and learned from her ‘mistakes’ in the world of romance. She gave herself the permission to try again and not hold her or the person to a fault by bringing old relationship paradigms into a new situation.
Making it the icing on the cake for the remaining chapter in her journey. It hits different when you do this life thing with someone and suddenly you’ll see why you needed to believe in yourself.
