Time Capsule Series: Prometheus

 Prometheus

‘We call them, the engineers.’

A year in history has never had so much hype for a global natural disaster. The feature, 2012, along with the theories and warnings had us frantic. What’s a small number of people going to do after the world collapses...that part is always left out. However, this feature does the exact opposite and articulates the beginning of existence.

Dr Shaw and Dr Holloway deliver a presentation sharing their archaeological findings from civilizations, mapping out what appears to be the centre of the universe. They all recorded similar testaments of their understanding of creation. See in your mind's eye, the superior knowledge these civilizations had available to find these calculations. This expedition guides us through man's entitled and defiant nature, on a quest for answers they were not ready for.

Exploring the ruins, a molecular waveform depicts a highlight reel of recorded events. They find a helmet that belonged to a deceased crew member. Bringing the findings back to the ship, tests confirmed the biological symmetry between them and the engineers. The humanoid assistant, David, discovers the control room realising the ruins is actually a ship. As he activates the command centre, the level of sophistication gives us an insight that the engineers, also known as the dimension builders, must have created reality itself for us to coexist.

The vases retrieved from David were bioengineered hosts that were meant for Earth. The creator became the hunted due to the rapid development of the parasites. David’s verbal exchange with Dr Holloway was a mental battle for conscious superiority. Through his suggestive approach, he plants the DNA sample into his beverage. Telling David he would do anything to reach his goals, gave him an internal validation to see his curiosity come true. Careful what you wish for, doctor.

“If these things made us, surely they can save us”, founder of the enterprise, Peter Weyland. His statement is a perfect example of man's trivial view of dominance and comical fear of death, using his entire fortune to coordinate the search. An amazing distinction between one who is determined to answer life’s meaningful questions and the capitalistic hoarder feeding their internal parasites. The creative process of the parasite is what holds the creature together due to symbiosis, giving the creature a sustainable physique. Consuming the engineer birthed it's final transformation, heightening its intelligence and deception.

Parasites are created within imbalanced environments and food. It's thought process spreads within us, creating constant diseases such as depression and lack of empathy to hypersensitivity or lack of concentration and much more. Parasites are man's adversity, purging them leads to clarity with our thoughts, emotions, habits and life purpose. Why else are peoples thoughts naturally drawn to constant consumption, fear and the act of creation? The bombardment of impulses distracts us from finding a stronger sense of who we are.

“There is nothing special about the creation of life”. David has skipped the organic process of acquiring a universal connection and is operating by his artificial misunderstanding. His appreciation for the parasites is displayed through his curiosity, one parasite helping another.

David is a product of his maker, mans obsession with ignoring natural law and feeding its parasitic tendencies. When you remove the parasites within your cells, you can understand the concepts of the dimension builders, to further explore and unlock your deeper empathetic selves to better navigate your world.
